IIF project - an overview of the current situation

The IIF project was created in 2007 with an aim to give a web platform to the Indian community across regions, religions and langauges, and to bring about positive differences in our life. It has evolved to the following since its beginning :

  1. This website: www.indiansinfrance.com where it all started in 2007 through a phpbb forum.
  2. Our Facebook group which was created in 2009 and where we do all our discussions.
  3. Activities beyond web: From 2014 IIF has been organizing / taking an important part in many out of web activities important for the Indian community of France, some of which are blogged here.
  4. A French language learning centre, created in 2018 with an aim to give quality French langauge training at an affordable rate.
  5. A linked in group created in 2019 for sharing and discussing job offers.
  6. An instagram account started in 2020 to share photos of the Indian community.

Given that the Facebook group is a part of IIF and not a stand alone project, some rules are applied while one posts in the group, where discussions happen. Please visit the rules page, if you have not seen that yet.

Please also note that, IIF is moving forward constantly and rules are accordingly modified on the way.

Hope you are enjoying your time with us. IIF is for you, and I am doing to the best of my ability, with ressources I have access to and with people around me who came at different point of time and for different length of time, and who have been generous by investing their energy and effort to contribute to the life of others, to make it more and more structured and useful for the people. Do not hesitate to stand by it, and give your support.

IIF has stood by the Indian community of France since 2007 relentlessly and has done so without any government help, while influencing thousands of people's lives positively. To know how you can contribute to this, help IIF to go further and be even more effective for the social cause, click here. The good feeling that we get by doing good to the community is unparallel to anything else.

A stronger IIF in the future will directly translate to more tools & facilities for the community members - the new comers but also for those who have been here for sometime, or are living here.
