Hello I am Manisha Bhatia 24, student of MSc in Global Business Management. I came France in January 2018. Starting from day one I learned a lot of things about this country.
Firstly, you have to learn french to manage your day to day life. During the first one or two years of your study you have to struggle and work hard. French Language is the basic requirement for each and every student. Once you know the language, life is much easier than one can imagine.
Living in France has its own advantages and disadvantages. If I talk about Paris, it is very expensive for students in terms of buying food, accommodation & transportation etc. Paris is wonderful for those who already know some people before coming here. And who can speak french very well. But again you have to struggle a lot. Though people are very friendly in France.
Once you know you are going to study in France I would suggest that start searching for a place where you will live while you are here. There are so many housing options available for ex:- leboncoin.fr, pap.fr, seloger.fr & studapart etc. Secondly, cost of living which depends in which city you are going to stay. As I mentioned earlier, Paris is very expensive but one can try to look for an accommodation in the outskirts of Paris. Next, start learning french before your arrival in France. It will help you to manage your daily task.
For part time jobs you can contact the babbysitting agencies. For ex:- speakingagency, recrelangue & les petits bilingues etc.
Working opportunities in France
I would say chances are high if you speak French. There are jobs available for people who are from IT background, computer science & web designing etc.
